Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Lance Cupitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Blase Tyson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Blase Tyson! The judges for this bout are Skip Squint, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Cupitt moves into range and connects with a jab. Cupitt fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt. Tyson throws a head kick that misses. Cupitt shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Tyson working a defensive guard but Cupitt passes into half guard.
Tyson is looking for a sweep. Cupitt is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Tyson wants to get back to full guard but Cupitt has mounted him! Tyson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Cupitt controlling from the full mount. Tyson wants to control but Cupitt is having none of it. Tyson really trying hard to get back to half guard here.
Cupitt putting on the heat here with some good ground and pound! Tyson wants to hold on but Cupitt pushes him away.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tyson is trying desperately to improve position. Cupitt will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Cupitt controlling from the full mount. Tyson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Cupitt. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Cupitt with good strikes from the mount here! Cupitt content just to control the position here. Tyson is trying desperately to improve position. Cupitt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Cupitt landing strikes from the mount and Tyson is in trouble!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cupitt looking for a guillotine from mount but Tyson is having none of it. Cupitt sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Tyson takes a big shot to the head but keeps on trying to improve his position. Cupitt controlling the pace for now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Cupitt lands with some strikes. Cupitt is in the full mount, landing strikes. Tyson tries to improve his position but instead Cupitt has taken his back! I would not like to be Tyson right now.
Tyson tries to escape but Cupitt has the hooks in and won't let him break free. Tyson looks gassed! Tyson trying to get back to his feet but Cupitt is in full control for now. Tyson tries to roll but Cupitt sticks to his back.
Cupitt scores with a nice shot to the head of his opponent. Tyson is looking for a way out. Cupitt cracks Tyson with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Tyson from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Tyson is rocked!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Tyson is trapped and Cupitt is scoring with shots to the head and body. Tyson is still in real trouble! Can Cupitt finish him? Cupitt controls the position. Cupitt is not going to allow Tyson to sit and survive in this position. Cupitt has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Cupitt just keeping the dominant position. He can't wait too long though, otherwise the referee will stand them back up.
Tyson seems to have recovered his senses. Cupitt patiently working for the choke. Which fighter will keep their nerve here? This has been an exciting period of action! Cupitt controlling the position well here. Tyson rolled but Cupitt kept the hooks locked in and stayed in the dominant position.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Cupitt lands a shot to the body. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Lance Cupitt dominated that round. That's time! Back to the action!
Cupitt bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control. Tyson is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Cupitt off and has taken his back! Cupitt manages to reverse the position and now he's in Tyson's guard. Nice work there by Cupitt.
Tyson wants to stand and escape but Cupitt is having none of it. Cupitt drops back looking for a leg! Tyson is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Tyson manages to kick Cupitt off! Cupitt jumps back into Tyson's guard. Cupitt slips nicely into half guard. Well, if Cupitt is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Tyson is refusing to be controlled, as Cupitt sits in half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Cupitt decides he's had enough of the ground and stands up. Cupitt looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Tyson can't keep his opponent in guard - Cupitt advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount. Cupitt stands up from half guard. Nice takedown defense from Tyson. No joy for Cupitt on that attempt. Blase Tyson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Cupitt avoids a low kick by using good footwork. Cupitt looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into mount! Oh, that's bad for Tyson! Cupitt punishing his opponent with strikes. Cupitt connects with a couple of good shots from mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Tyson keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Cupitt has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Tyson's face.
Lance Cupitt overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Cupitt looking to finish Tyson with some ground and pound. This is bad for Tyson! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage! Cupitt content just to control the position here. Cupitt drops a big elbow. That's hurt Tyson! More shots from Cupitt and the ref steps in! The fight is over!
