The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wennberg gets tackled into the cage by Salvatore. Salvatore maintains the clinch.
A right handed body shot lands from Salvatore.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Wennberg.
Salvatore lands a right hand that snaps the head of Wennberg backwards.
Salvatore is working Wennberg over against the cage.
Wennberg is breathing heavily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Salvatore lands a body punch - he's looking to wear down Wennberg.
Salvatore lands with a short shot to the head.
It looks like Alexndr Wennberg has been cut.
With the fighters clinched against the cage, Salvatore creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut.

Hermes Salvatore seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Wennberg stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Wennberg wants it to stay on the feet.
Salvatore bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.

Wennberg is working to avoid the ground and pound but Salvatore connects with a decent elbow.
Salvatore lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Wennberg! Salvatore senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Wennberg out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
