Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Daniel Haynes (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nicolas Rameau (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Haynes comes into the arena with Song 2 by Blur blaring out of the sound system. This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Daniel Haynes!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Nicolas Rameau!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Donald Grub and Daniel Bishop.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rameau leaves Haynes with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
No luck for Haynes with that takedown attempt.
Rameau is looking to take this fight into the clinch.
Rameau throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Haynes has a takedown stuffed.

Rameau tries to clinch there but Haynes circles away.
Haynes keeps the fight on the outside.

Haynes shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Rameau as he jumps to the side.

Haynes avoids a wild elbow strike from Rameau.

Haynes prevents Rameau from breaking the clinch.

Haynes not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.
Haynes has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.

Haynes is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Rameau has managed to free his arm - good work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Haynes accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Haynes drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Rameau manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Haynes has Rameau in his guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That was a close round but I would say that Daniel Haynes will probably get the nod.

Rameau goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Haynes has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Rameau but great work by Haynes.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Rameau has momentary wrist control but Haynes slips an elbow through the middle.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

Rameau has gone for a leg lock! Haynes slips out almost immediately though and dives into Rameau's guard.
A real slowdown in the pace of the fight for a moment, as Rameau holds on and takes a little breather.
Haynes postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
Daniel Haynes overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Rameau has his foot on Haynes's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Haynes works his way back into a safe position though.
Haynes throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Rameau works some decent striking defense from the bottom.

I would just about give that final round to Nicolas Rameau.
I think Rameau has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
