PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jensen Saint (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Saint comes to the cage accompanied by Bad Company - Holy Water. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 29 - 15 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jensen Saint!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 23 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Frank Martin!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Martin steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Saint.
Jab, jab by Martin - just one landing.
The crowd cheers as Martin lands an impressive looking overhand right. Saint doesn't seem phased though.
Martin walks into a jab.
Martin misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Saint.
Martin throws a hook but Saint blocks it.
Martin connects with a body shot.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
The fighters circling - Martin throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
A big right from Martin misses.
Martin avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Saint pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Martin thows a left - swing and a miss!
Martin scores with a nice right hand.
Martin throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Good exchange - Martin coming out on top.
Martin avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Martin connects with a good right hand that stumbles Saint. Saint circles away out of range and recomposes himself.

Saint gets caught napping as Martin dives in and scores a takedown. Saint manages to retain guard.

Martin is looking to work some ground and pound but Saint has wrist control.

Martin postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Saint has his foot on Martin's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Martin works his way back into a safe position though.

Saint bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Martin's guard.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Martin escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Saint gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Saint's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Saint working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
Saint working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Martin's head.
Saint wants to control from the top but Martin keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Saint got a little sloppy there for a moment and Martin has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Saint has managed to get both his arms back between Martin's legs - danger averted.

Martin is looking for a triangle but Saint pushes his legs off easily.

Saint keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Martin's head.

Saint is in close to Martin's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Martin is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Both fighters really going for it on the ground here!
Martin manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Saint manages to get himself to full guard.

Martin throws an elbow that misses. Saint uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Martin's guard. Nice move by Saint!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Saint has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Martin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Saint is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Martin pulls down on the head and he's put Saint to sleep! This one is all over!
