Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Nathan Corbett (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Matt Santos (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Corbett kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Men at Work - Down Under. Santos is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Hate Me Now. Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Matt Santos enters the cage!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Some bone on bone action there as Santos checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Matt Santos seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Corbett works the jab nicely.
It looks like Matt Santos has been cut. Santos checks a low kick from Corbett. Decent striking displayed by Corbett there. Santos tries to clinch up. Santos avoids the head kick by Corbett.
Santos walks into a straight right hand from Corbett. Santos tries to score with a leg kick but it misses it's target. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Santos pushes Corbett up against the cage in a clinch. Corbett pulls guard effortlessly. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Santos tries to stand but Corbett is controlling from the bottom. Corbett tries to land a sweep but no joy. Corbett has a closed guard, preventing Santos from standing up. Corbett is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's one minute gone in the round. Santos has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Corbett to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Santos is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Corbett pulls down on the head and he's put Santos to sleep! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:24 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Nathan Corbett! In his post fight interview, Nathan Corbett started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
