The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Los Mucho shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Mudjihutdinov manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

Mudjihutdinov has his foot on Los Mucho's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Los Mucho works his way back into a safe position though.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Los Mucho is pushing down on Mudjihutdinov's leg trying to pass to half guard. Mudjihutdinov is fighting to maintain full guard but Los Mucho has managed to sneak the leg through.
Mudjihutdinov is looking for a sweep. Los Mucho is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Los Mucho is looking for a kimura but Mudjihutdinov is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Los Mucho to get the leverage.
Los Mucho working to pass to mount. He's got his hand pressing down on Mudjihutdinov's thigh. Mudjihutdinov counters though and makes it back to full guard.
Los Mucho slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
Los Mucho wants to pass the guard but Mudjihutdinov is keeping the position.

Los Mucho slips effortlessly into side control - very nice.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Los Mucho is trying to control. Mudjihutdinov wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

Los Mucho is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Los Mucho goes for an armbar but Mudjihutdinov turns quickly into his guard - lovely anticipation from Mudjihutdinov.
Los Mucho working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mudjihutdinov doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mudjihutdinov manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

Los Mucho has momentary wrist control but Mudjihutdinov slips an elbow through the middle.
Los Mucho controls Mudjihutdinov momentarily but Mudjihutdinov frees himself.
Los Mucho is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Los Mucho is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Mudjihutdinov makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Mudjihutdinov.
Los Mucho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mario Los Mucho dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Los Mucho shoots in for a double leg but Mudjihutdinov sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Mudjihutdinov forces Los Mucho back against the cage and clinches.
Mudjihutdinov stops a takedown attempt from Los Mucho.

Mudjihutdinov thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Los Mucho looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Los Mucho keeping full guard, as Mudjihutdinov tries to pass.
Los Mucho has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Mudjihutdinov can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Mudjihutdinov is sitting in close to Los Mucho's body. Los Mucho has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Mudjihutdinov is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Mudjihutdinov is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Los Mucho.
