PBP Commentary |
Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Dell Optiplex (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Antoine Dodson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dodson has chosen Bed Intruder Song as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dodson fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Optiplex, pushing him back against the cage. Dodson works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard. We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace. Dodson passes Optiplex's left leg - he's now in half guard. Dodson sitting and controlling from the half guard. Optiplex is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Dodson scores with a couple of nice shots. Dodson in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Optiplex tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from Dodson!
