Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kesigan St Pierre (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tony Nelson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). St Pierre comes to the cage accompanied by aint no sunshine. Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tony Nelson! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Stewart Dunkirk and Gwen Towbar.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! St Pierre closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Nelson on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
St Pierre lands a takedown into guard.
Nelson is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. St Pierre is aware though and is defending well. St Pierre cracks Nelson with a solid left hand. St Pierre pushing down on Nelson's thigh, trying to pass to half guard. He's managed it... Nice work. Nelson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two. St Pierre throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man. Nelson tries to get to full guard but St Pierre has control of the leg. St Pierre is keen to just control but Nelson is a slippery customer. St Pierre moves nicely into side control. St Pierre in side control, throwing shots but Nelson defends. St Pierre swings around for an armbar but Nelson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into St Pierre's guard. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. St Pierre keeping moving, preventing Nelson from controlling successfully. St Pierre is trying to control the position but Nelson postures up.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nelson trying to control the position from guard on top but St Pierre is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Nelson trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. St Pierre is looking for a triangle but Nelson pushes his legs off easily.

Nelson is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage. St Pierre is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Nelson is defending well. Nelson avoiding damage as St Pierre throws knees to the body.
Nelson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. St Pierre smiles and moves away.
St Pierre clinches up with Nelson and pushes him back against the cage. St Pierre pulls guard effortlessly. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Nelson scoring with some ground and pound.
That's four minutes gone in the round. St Pierre working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Nelson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Nelson manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Nelson looking to pass the guard. St Pierre thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nelson wants to control from the top but St Pierre keeps moving. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Kesigan St Pierre dominated that round. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
St Pierre gets a double leg takedown into Nelson's guard. St Pierre working some strikes from top position. St Pierre wants to pass the guard but Nelson is keeping the position. Nelson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in St Pierre's guard. Nelson stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. St Pierre swivels though and keeps the full guard. St Pierre pulls Nelson in close to prevent any damage. St Pierre trying to keep a closed guard but Nelson is proving a slippery customer.
St Pierre has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
That's one minute gone in the round. If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. St Pierre scrambles and gets back to his feet.
Nelson fails with a takedown attempt. Nelson shoots in for a takedown but St Pierre shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. St Pierre shoots in looking for a takedown but Nelson manages to keep the fight standing, pushing St Pierre's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. That's going to take a lot out of Tony Nelson. Nelson has a takedown stuffed. Nelson closes this distance looking for a takedown but St Pierre circles away. St Pierre dodges the punch combination from Nelson.

St Pierre fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Nelson avoids it really well and circles away. St Pierre closes the distance but Nelson moves to the side and Nelson counters with a straight right hand. No luck for Nelson with that takedown attempt. St Pierre has managed to clinch.

Nelson is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. St Pierre pulls guard effortlessly. Nelson is stalling in the full guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Nelson looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for St Pierre! Nelson tries to move to mount but St Pierre blocks the move with his legs. Nelson goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, St Pierre has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Nelson but great work by St Pierre. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! St Pierre decides to stand back up. Nelson tries to clinch but fails miserably and St Pierre counters into the clinch. Nicely done. St Pierre drops to a knee looking for a takedown but Nelson gets the underhooks and prevents it.

Nelson escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nelson attempts a leg kick but it's missed by a good margin. St Pierre doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Nelson lands a jab-cross combination. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nelson circles away from the clinch attempt.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Nelson looks to clinch and St Pierre counters with a nice leg kick. Nelson is trying hard to land a takedown here. St Pierre sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Tony Nelson has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Kesigan St Pierre is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Nelson shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it.

In favor of your winner, by unanimous decision... Kesigan St Pierre! After the fight, Kesigan St Pierre was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
