Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Cris Siekansky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Mirko Basch (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Cris Siekansky! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Mirko Basch! The judges for this bout are Seu Braga, Leandro Rodrigues and Alexandre Firmino.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Basch shoots in and gets a takedown into Siekansky's guard. Basch wants to stand but Siekansky is controlling his posture from full guard. Basch won't allow Siekansky to sweep him here. Basch thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position. Siekansky is trying to keep Basch in close.
Siekansky working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Basch has passed into half guard!
Basch stalling. Basch trying to pass the guard but Siekansky defending well.
That's one minute gone in the round. Siekansky looking for submissions off his back. Basch is thwarting Siekansky's attempts to control the position. Basch is figuring out what he wants to do next. Siekansky wants to control but Basch is keeping busy.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Mirko Basch has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet. Basch throws a jab but it's blocked by Siekansky. Siekansky closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Siekansky manages to break the clinch.
No luck for Basch with that takedown attempt. Siekansky misses with a head kick.
Basch takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Basch stuffs the takedown attempt from Siekansky. Siekansky gets slowly back to his feet. Basch shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Siekansky's guard. Basch trying to control the position from guard on top but Siekansky is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Basch stays in close to Siekansky's body and controls the position. The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Mirko Basch hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Siekansky delivers a nice body kick. Basch is looking to clinch. Basch throws a leg kick but Siekansky checks it. Siekansky with a poor takedown and Basch counters with a series of strikes. Siekansky will be more careful next time no doubt. Siekansky will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Cris Siekansky. That's going to take a lot out of him. Siekansky is breathing heavily. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Basch shoots in for a takedown but Siekansky shows good takedown defense. Basch misses with a right hand and Siekansky counters with a right hand to the body. Basch closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Siekansky's guard. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Basch drops back looking for a leg! Siekansky is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Siekansky manages to kick Basch off! Basch jumps back into Siekansky's guard. Basch scores with a decent looking elbow strike. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mirko Basch dominated that round. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin!
Basch tries to close the distance and clinch up but Siekansky swats him away and circles back towards the center. Basch gets a clinch. Basch is trying to pull guard but Siekansky turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. Siekansky is trying to slow down the pace in the clinch, to catch his breath. Siekansky tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Basch smiles and moves away.
Siekansky tries to close the distance and clinch up but Basch swats him away and circles back towards the center. Basch closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Siekansky did well to prevent Basch getting side control. Siekansky knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Basch on the ground. Basch is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Siekansky!
That's one minute gone in the round. Basch looking to control but Siekansky is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Siekansky is wriggling around trying to escape.
Basch sitting in mount, just looking to control for the moment. Basch tries to stand up but he's trapped just for the moment. Basch controlling the pace for now. Siekansky tries to reverse the position but Basch maintains control.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Basch controlling the pace for now. Basch avoids the attempt from Siekansky to control. Basch looking to control but Siekansky is working nicely, looking to advance position himself. Basch takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work. Siekansky wants to use the cage to get back to his feet here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Siekansky can't escape the position.
Mirko Basch has got the better of the ground game so far. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Basch lands a couple of good shots and Siekansky has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Basch looking to break Siekansky's wrist control so he can sink in the choke. Siekansky remaining controlled and patient though - he really has to keep calm otherwise Basch will wrap this one up with the rear naked choke! We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Siekansky is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Basch is working for the choke. He's slipped one arm under the chin. Siekansky has to defend the other arm for all he's worth... but Basch has managed to get that arm free too and he's tightening the choke! Siekansky taps out and looks absolutely disgusted with himself. Basch doesn't care though - he's delighted!
