Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Kuai Wu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Jenin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Kuai Wu could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to John Jenin's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Kuai Wu!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, John Jenin!
The judges for this bout are Yasuomi Hirokawa, Tatsuya Matsuyama and Taro Takaoka.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Wu fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Jenin to the ground. Wu is now in Jenin's guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Wu with a flurry of punches that miss.
Wu tries to free his leg and advance position but Jenin is retaining full guard.
Wu stands and throws Jenin's legs to the side, diving into side control.
Wu trying to control the action but Jenin is working from the bottom.

Wu decides to stand up, so the ref orders Jenin to his feet.

Jenin takes the fight into the clinch.

Wu works for the underhooks and manages to get a trip takedown into guard.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Wu gets to his feet - Jenin follows without any prompting.
A lazy body kick from Jenin
and Wu counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Wu swats away the attempt to clinch by Jenin.

Wu manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Jenin on his heels. He'll look to pass Jenin's guard now, I'm sure.

Wu postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Jenin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Wu, into his guard.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now Wu is on top in guard.
Jenin is looking to stand up but Wu isn't so interested in that idea.

Wu pushes down on Jenin's leg and manages to get into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Wu trying to mount his opponent but Jenin defends it.
Wu sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. Jenin defending well though.
Wu trying to control the pace.

Wu is working for a kimura but Jenin is defending it quite comfortably.
Wu wants to control but Jenin is keeping him busy.

Wu is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Jenin wants to control but Wu is keeping busy and won't allow it.

Wu is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.

Jenin is defending against the submission attempts here by Wu.
Wu is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Jenin!

Wu is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Jenin to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Jenin shrugs it off.
Jenin avoids a series of strikes thrown by Wu.
Jenin wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Wu.
Wu misses with a head shot.

Wu working to secure an arm triangle but it's not happening for him just yet.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Jenin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jenin keeps his opponent at a distance with a nice jab.

Jenin clinches up with Wu and pushes him back against the cage.
Wu lands a shoulder strike.
Jenin wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Wu has him pressed against the cage.

Wu manages to pull guard.
Jenin tries to free his leg and advance position but Wu is retaining full guard.

Wu pushes Jenin off and gets back to his feet.

Wu shoots in but no luck this time.
Wu slips under a jab.

Wu closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Jenin to the mat! Jenin manages to get full guard.
Wu works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Jenin is breathing heavily.
Wu is trying to control the action in half guard but Jenin is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.

Wu is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Jenin doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Wu.

Wu decides to return to a standing position.

Wu displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Jenin.
A lazy body kick from Jenin
and Wu counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Jenin is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Wu looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Wu throws a head kick that Jenin semi-blocks.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Wu is trying to stall.
Wu lands an elbow inside.

Wu is trying to break the clinch but Jenin has him pressed against the cage.

Jenin wants to get back to striking at distance but Wu won't allow it.
Wu is trying to break the clinch but Jenin is controlling him.

and Wu counters with a nice body kick.
Jenin throws a poor cross that misses
and Wu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jenin's knee momentarily.

Wu misses with a takedown attempt - Jenin sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
Wu fails with an attempt to clinch.
Jenin throws a leg kick that is checked
and Wu counters with a flying knee. Nice.
Jenin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Wu moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Jenin misses with a double jab
and Wu counters with a nice low kick that buckles Jenin's knee momentarily.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Jenin on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wu. Wu obviously looking to wear him down.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!


Jenin takes a kick to the side of the head.
No luck with that takedown attempt from Wu.
Horrible takedown by Wu or perhaps it was just good defense by Jenin which made him look bad.
A low kick from Jenin is predictable there
and Wu counters with a big head kick but Jenin shrugs it off.
Jenin throws a lazy head kick
and Wu counters with a good low kick that Jenin was not able to check.
Jenin throws a right hand that misses
and Wu counters with a head kick.
Jenin takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Jenin throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Wu stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Nice takedown defense from Jenin. No joy for Wu on that attempt.

We're going to have a standup here because Kuai Wu wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.

and Wu counters with an inside leg kick.
Jenin digs a good body shot into Wu's ribs.
Wu shoots in for a takedown but Jenin shows good takedown defense.
Jenin fails with a takedown attempt.
Kuai Wu is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wu shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Jenin napping and manages to drive through into side control!

Wu is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Jenin has escaped the position, nice work there.
Wu has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jenin!
Jenin wants to control but Wu is having none of it.
Wu is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Jenin can do to turn this around?

Jenin is in a horrible position here. Wu smacks him with another shot as he tries to escape the position.

Wu stands up from mount. Strange move.
