Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Manny Skelton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jack Daniels (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Skelton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Example - Midnight Run. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 12 - 12 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Jack Daniels!
The judges for this bout are Donatello Bradman, Skip Squint and John Mangel.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Skelton gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Daniels counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Skelton shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Daniels as he jumps to the side.

Nice uppercut lands for Skelton. That snapped Daniels's head back.
Daniels leaves Skelton with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

A close second round but Jack Daniels will probably get the nod - 10:9.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

The crowd cheers as Daniels lands an impressive looking overhand right. Skelton doesn't seem phased though.

Skelton looks like he's developed a pretty tasty lump over his left eye. He'll need to avoid taking much more damage to that.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Skelton uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Daniels.

Skelton takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it.
Skelton uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Daniels.

Skelton throws a strike but Daniels rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Daniels accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.

Skelton is working an open guard so Daniels takes the opportunity to get back to his feet.
Skelton moves out of range of the strikes.
Skelton's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Daniels connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Skelton scrambles back to his feet.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
