Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
27 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Ash Thomas! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Dupree Owens! The judges for this bout are Elvis Blanc, Alec Ball and William Peck.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Thomas smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button. Owens misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Thomas.
A thudding body kick lands there by Thomas!
Thomas misses with a wild body shot. Owens cracks Thomas with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd. Thomas connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Owens momentarily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A solid leg kick lands there for Thomas.
Thomas lets loose with a powerful body kick. Owens will feel that in the morning. Thomas on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot. Owens throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Thomas stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Thomas clobbers Owens with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Thomas scores with a slapping inside leg kick. Thomas throws a low kick but his opponent is out of range.

Thomas connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Owens's hands. Thomas gets off balance looking for a body kick and Owens counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Good leg kick by Thomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Well, he's not going to score with shots like that. A lazy body kick attempt from Thomas. Owens shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Thomas takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Thomas slips under a jab from Owens. Thomas with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Thomas misses the shot to the body. Thomas feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits Owenss jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist! Thomas fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Owens checks it well. Owens lands a slapping body shot.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Owens tries to close the distance and clinch up but Thomas swats him away and circles back towards the center. Owens lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Thomas circles away quickly and effectively. Owens's jab looks to have found its range, popping Thomas under the eye. Thomas cracks the inside of Owens's front leg. A solid leg kick lands there for Thomas.
A jab from Owens finds it's way through Thomas's defenses. Thomas throws a head kick that looked like it stung.
Thomas lands a nice leg kick that just misses Owens's sensitive parts. Thomas moves out of range as Owens strikes. Owens misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Ash Thomas seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Owens chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Thomas can pounce on him.

Owens thuds a left hand into Thomas's body. Thomas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Owens was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomas. Owens keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Thomas throws a sloppy head kick and Owens moves out of range easily. Owens takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.

Thomas lands a glancing blow to the side of Owens's head. Thomas looks to score with a jab to the body but Owens is just out of range. Owens fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done. This has been an exciting period of action! Thomas pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Owens misses the jab. Thomas throws a quick inside leg kick. Thomas tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Nice takedown defense from Thomas. Owens feints a jab promting Thomas to slip. Owens then demonstrates his capabilities by jabbing again. Thomas slips again and ducks right into an uppercut. Thomas connects with a leg kick. Owens looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Thomas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Owens. That did some damage! Thomas is really peppering his opponent's head with punches. Thomas fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. A punch lands to the side of Owens 's head but he takes it in his stride. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ash Thomas dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!

A slow jab from Owens misses its intended target. Thomas walks forward and throws out a flicking leg kick. Owens checks it nicely though, as he moves to the side. Thomas works Owens's body with a nice hook. Good leg kick by Thomas there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.

Thomas connects with a leg kick. Owens looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Thomas throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd. Both these guys seem content to just stand up and trade with eachother but Owens might want to think about changing up his gameplan a bit because over the course of the fight, Thomas has got the better of the exchanges. Owens is breathing heavily. Owens thuds his right hand into Thomas's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Thomas blocks the body kick.
Thomas swings away with a leg kick that misses. Owens is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Thomas. Owens walks forward, straight into a front kick from Thomas. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Thomas feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Owens's calf. Thomas throws a nice outside leg kick.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A good leg kick by Thomas. Thomas scores with a head kick.
It looks like Dupree Owens has been cut. Thomas throws a push kick but Owens slaps the foot to one side. Owens takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
Owens takes a push kick to the midsection and stumbles backwards. Dupree Owens is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Thomas lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. Thomas scoring well with a low kick there.
Thomas dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Owens. That did some damage! Thomas is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Owens can do to turn this around? Thomas pushes Owens away with a front kick. Owens has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from Thomas. Thomas plants his feet and lands a nice head kick! Owens takes a kick to the body and keeps moving. Owens throws a wild hook but Thomas just manages to duck under it and - ooooh! Owens gets nailed by a brutal uppercut which crumples him back against the cage! The referee jumps in - Thomas raises his hands in celebration and walks away!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:57 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Ash Thomas! After the fight, Ash Thomas was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
