The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Payne takes the fight into the clinch.
Dramuud tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Payne's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Dramuud tries to circle away but Payne has him pinned against the cage.
Dramuud is trying to break the clinch but Payne is controlling him.

Dramuud tries to break free but Payne pushes him back against the cage.

Payne is trying to trip Dramuud. He has hold of a leg but Dramuud is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Payne persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
Payne throws a strike but Dramuud rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Northus Dramuud has forced the referee to step in and bring the fight back to the feet.
Payne takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Dramuud takes a step towards his opponent and connects with a left hand, before circling away.
Dramuud really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Payne throws a right hand that Dramuud ducks under and follows up with a left that Dramuud also avoids with ease.
Dramuud uses decent footwork to sidestep a right hand from Payne.
Northus Dramuud seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Dramuud swings for the body but Payne moves out of range.

Payne throws a lazy right hand but Dramuud sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.

Payne looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Payne takes the fight into the clinch.
Dramuud has had enough of the clinch but Payne keeps him there for the moment.

Payne shoots in for a takedown but Dramuud shows good takedown defense.
Payne closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Dramuud's guard.
Dramuud pulls Payne in close to prevent any damage.

We're going to have a standup here because Northus Dramuud wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Payne misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

Payne looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Dramuud is fending him off so far but Payne persists. Nope, Dramuud circles away and we're back to standing.
Payne sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
Dramuud throws a one two combo.
Payne is rocked!
It looks like Max Payne has been cut.

and Payne takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Payne is still on wobbly legs! Can Dramuud finish him?
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Payne throws a nice looking combination but Dramuud bobs and weaves to avoid any damage.
Dramuud is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Dramuud lands a hook that stumbles Payne back into the cage. Dramuud follows up with a straight and another hook that land right on the button, dropping Payne to the canvas! Dramuud pounces and lands several unanswered shots - Payne has had enough and taps out! This one is all over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Strikes). Northus Dramuud!
A very excited looking Northus Dramuud rambled incoherently for about 5 minutes post fight about how awesome he is. It was kinda funny for a while but then everyone got annoyed.
