Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the super heavyweight championship of the world!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tonichie Hong!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hong throws a low kick, looking for Hess's leg but Hess calmly moves out of range.
Hong moves out of range of the body kick from Hess.
Hess punishes Hong's body with a nice straight punch.
Hess swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Hess gets his head snapped back by a nice shot there.
Hess buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Hess misses with a wild body shot.
Hong swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hess is moving around nicely and scores here with a single head shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Hess takes the fight into the clinch.
Hess avoids a wild elbow strike from Hong.
Hong with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Hong tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hess lands with a good tight uppercut to the head.
Hong fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
A right handed body shot lands from Hess.
Hong swings away with an uppercut that misses.
An uppercut on the inside fails to land for Hess.

A head punch on the inside from Hess fails to land.
Hong tries to land a knee to the head but misses.
Hess tries a shoulder strike but it doesn't do any damage.
Hong trying to land knees to the body.
Hess on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Hong with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Hess pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Hess closes the distance and pushes Hong back into the ropes.
Hong landing knees to the body. They look like they could hurt.

Hess breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Hess throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Hess tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Hess checks a low kick from Hong.
Hess throws a chopping leg kick but Hong manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Hess tries to clinch up but Hong circles away and keeps his distance.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Hong lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Hess has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Hess and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.
Hess gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Hong.


It looks like Jon Hess has been cut.
This has been an exciting period of action!
Hess moves in looking to clinch but Hong pushes him off.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Hess with a jab.
Hong throws a half hearted mid kick.
Hong misses with a shot to the body
and Hess counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Hong throws a leg kick but Hess moved away.
Hong keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Hess.
Hess misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Hong.
Jon Hess seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hess throws a leg kick but Hong moved away.
Hong tries to clinch but Hess moves out of range.
Hong misses with a wild body shot.
Hess waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Hong.
Hess works the jab nicely.
Hong feints and then cracks Hess's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Hess down.
Hong lands with an overhand left.
Hess has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Hess there as he acknowledges the shot.
Hess throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Hess tries to close the distance and clinch up but Hong swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Hong throws a lazy right hand but Hess sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily.
Hong throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Hess moves into range and lands a nice leg kick.
Hong thows a leg kick but Hess checks it
and as Hong takes a moment to reset, Hess counters with a massive combo! Right, left, right! Hong goes down! He's in big trouble, can he recover? 3,4,5,6,7,8,9....10. He's out! Hess is your winner!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Jon Hess!
