The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ota is looking to clinch. Kain misses with a wild body shot. Kain clinches. Knees to the body from Ota.
Ota throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Kain blocks it with crossed arms. Ota throws a head punch that misses. A right handed body shot lands from Ota.
Ota throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kain comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush.
It looks like Idi Ota has been cut. Kain wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Ota misses with a body punch.
Ota lands a nice elbow from the clinch. The referee is keeping an eye on Ota - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.
Kain blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Ota fails to land with a short punch on the inside.
Kain using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Ota has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Ota takes an elbow to the temple. Kain with an attempt at a knee that misses.

It looks like Keoni Kain has been cut. Kain avoiding damage as Ota throws knees to the body.
Ota is pushing Kain up against the ropes, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word. Ota misses with a knee to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kain stalls. Kain dodges an elbow strike from Ota.

Ota tries to work over Kain's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Ota lands a knee to the head.
A battle for position here, against the ropes. Kain lands punches inside but they're not really causing much damage. Kain is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the ropes. Kain stalling in the clinch but Ota improves position. Ota unloads a knee to the mid-section. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. A head punch blocked on the inside by Kain. Kain blocks a body shot from Ota.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ota tries a knee to the head but Kain blocks it.
Ota throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ota misses with a punch on the inside.
Kain's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. Kain throws a right high kick that is partially blocked by Ota. Nice straight punches there by Kain. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Kain.
That has opened up Idi Ota's cut even more. Kain cracks Ota with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the ropes. Kain clinches up against the ropes. Ota on the defensive, avoiding the knees to the body.
Kain throws a knee to the head but misses.
Ota tries to land a knee to the head but Kain blocks with his arms.
Ota misses with a knee strike.
Kain tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
With the fighters up against the ropes, Ota throws an elbow but misses. With the fighters up against the ropes, Kain throws an elbow but misses. Kain breaks the clinch.
A combination from Kain does no damage. Ota tries to clinch but Kain is having none of it. Ota tries to clinch there but Kain circles away.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kain gets a clinch. Ota trying to land knees to the body.
Kain is trying to push Ota away but Ota has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Ota comes over the top with an elbow. That landed flush. A short uppercut from Kain. Kain avoids the elbow strike from Ota, against the ropes.
Ota is looking to control Kain's arms but Kain gets an underhook and turns him. Now Ota has his back to the ropes. Kain is trying to push Ota away but Ota has him pressed against the ropes, so he's going nowhere. Ota wants to stall.
Kain lands on the inside with an uppercut. Ota misses with a short punch on the inside. Ota tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Kain avoids it. Ota lands an elbow that stopped Kain in his tracks for a moment. Kain breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Ota fails with an attempt to clinch.
Kain throws a head kick that misses. Kain tries to keep at a distance but Ota has taken the fight into the clinch. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! A frustrated look appears on Kain's face as he tries to break the clinch.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ota blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Ota prevents a body shot from Kain. Ota is looking to score with knees to the body. Maybe he'll change it up and go body then head. Kain is defending well for now. Ota misses with a body punch.
Kain misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Ota.
Ota throws a knee to the head but misses.
Kain lands a damaging elbow. Kain blocks the elbow strike.
A short uppercut from Kain. Kain lands an elbow that stopped Ota in his tracks for a moment. Ota creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Kain's defenses. Ota managing to block the knees to the body from Kain.

Ota looks winded! Kain breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Ota tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Kain manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat. Ota walks into a left hand.
The cut above Idi Ota's eye is starting to cause him problems now. Kain connects with an inside leg kick. Ota takes a shot to the body in his stride.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Keoni Kain dominated that round. Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Kain and Ota are patiently standing in front of each other looking for an opening. Kain throws a head kick. It's landed, knocking Ota into next week! Ooooh that was huge! Kain knows it - he's on the ropes flexing is biceps. That's a bit weird considering he won by kick but whatever.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Keoni Kain! An out of breath Keoni Kain thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
