Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chet Kincaid! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Marco Spancherko! The judges for this bout are Ivan Kurochkin, Aleksandr Martynov and Viktor Lagutenko.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kincaid shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Kincaid is working for a kimura but Spancherko is defending it quite comfortably.
Kincaid is looking to advance position but Spancherko won't allow it. Kincaid trying to work for an americana but Spancherko has managed to regain full guard.
Kincaid drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Spancherko dives on top into guard. Spancherko passes into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kincaid is looking for a sweep. Spancherko is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Spancherko seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Kincaid does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Spancherko perhaps working for something from half guard, or maybe not. It looks like he's just sitting there. Spancherko trying to pass the guard but Kincaid defending well. Kincaid might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Spancherko is trying to work for a kimura but Kincaid is defending well.
Spancherko is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Kincaid looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Spancherko trying to control from half guard but Kincaid is working away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Spancherko wants to advance to full mount but Kincaid doesn't think that's going to happen and regains full guard instead. Spancherko is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Kincaid is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Kincaid has escaped and now he's on top! Spancherko looking to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kincaid trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet. Spancherko trying to keep a closed guard but Kincaid is proving a slippery customer.
Kincaid has gone for a leg lock! Spancherko slips out almost immediately though and dives into Kincaid's guard. Kincaid is pulling down on Spancherko's head. It's preventing any offense from Spancherko, at least for the moment. Kincaid has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Spancherko doesn't defend quickly enough and Kincaid has managed to lock this one up! Can Spancherko escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Kincaid on a fantastic submission victory.
