Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Vesa Sykk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Akira Yasuharu (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Yasuharu comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Genocide Junkies kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Akira Yasuharu acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the featherweight championship of the world! Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Vesa Sykk! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Akira Yasuharu! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sykk on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
It looks like Vesa Sykk has been cut. Yasuharu has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Yasuharu there as he acknowledges the shot. Yasuharu defending well as Sykk loads up on a big left hand. Sykk moves out of range of the strikes. Yasuharu misses with a right hand and Sykk counters with a lovely straight right hand! No joy there for Yasuharu, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Sykk is rocked! This has been an exciting period of action! Sykk moves into range and clinches up with Yasuharu. Oh Sykk is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Sykk stalling.
Sykk seems to have got his legs back now. Sykk swings wildly with an uppercut but Yasuharu uses good head movement to avoid it. Yasuharu working hard to break the clinch. A head punch blocked on the inside by Yasuharu. Yasuharu is trying to break the clinch but Sykk has him pressed against the cage. Sykk has Yasuharu pushed against the cage. Yasuharu lands with a short head shot on the inside.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sykk has Yasuharu pressed against the cage, preventing Yasuharu from circling away and getting back to striking at range. Sykk doesn't land with the attempted body shot.

Yasuharu is trying to break the clinch but Sykk is controlling him. Sykk lands a hook that snaps the head of Yasuharu backwards. Sykk working on landing some head shots here - that one got through nicely. Yasuharu is trying to push Sykk away but Sykk has him pressed against the cage, so he's going nowhere. A short left from Sykk. Sykk keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Yasuharu's efforts to push away. Yasuharu is trying to break free. Yasuharu tries to circle away but Sykk has him pinned against the cage. Yasuharu wants to get back to striking at distance but Sykk won't allow it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Yasuharu is trying to break free. Sykk unloads with a big right hand that wobbles Yasuharu! He's leaning against the cage trying to keep his feet but Sykk is unloading with more strikes now! Yasuharu drops to his knees and the referee stops the fight for a TKO!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:14 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Vesa Sykk! Vesa Sykk retains his featherweight title!
