Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gari Turuk (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Mark Kerr! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Gari Turuk! The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Saam Ante and Patrick Alders.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turuk clinches. Turuk wants to break free. God knows he wants to breaaaak freeee. Kerr throws a punch but it's blocked by Turuk. Turuk tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Kerr smiles and moves away.
No joy there for Turuk, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Turuk shoots in looking for a takedown but Kerr manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Turuk's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Turuk shoots in for a takedown but Kerr shows good takedown defense. Mark Kerr has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Gari Turuk. Kerr doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body. Kerr tries to clinch but Turuk moves out of range. Kerr stuffs the takedown attempt from Turuk. Turuk gets slowly back to his feet. Kerr has managed to clinch.
Turuk is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Kerr is struggling to control the position. Turuk blocks a body shot from Kerr. Turuk looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now. Kerr tries to work over Turuk's body with a swooping hook but it only glances the target. Kerr stalling the fight.
Turuk wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Kerr has him pressed against the cage. Turuk is trying to pull guard but Kerr has him pressed against the cage. Kerr taking a break, stalling in the clinch.

Kerr wants to clinch but Turuk slips to the side and Turuk counters with a nice body shot. Turuk looks for a takedown but Kerr sprawls well. Turuk thuds a mid kick into his opponent's body. That will wear on Kerr if he has to take too many more of those.
Kerr looks to clinch and Turuk counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Kerr is lucky that one didn't land flush. This has been an exciting period of action! Kerr blocks the body kick.
Gari Turuk seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Turuk looks winded! Kerr drives through and clinches with Turuk against the cage.

Turuk tries to score a body lock takedown but Kerr shows good agility there to stay on his feet. Turuk blocks a couple of punches on the inside.

That was a close round but I would say that Mark Kerr will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Turuk pushes Kerr against the cage but Kerr circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Turuk is breathing heavily. Turuk wants to clinch but Kerr slips to the side and Kerr holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Kerr taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
Kerr has had enough of the clinch but Turuk keeps him there for the moment. Kerr fails to land with a short punch on the inside.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Turuk letting Kerr take a breather here. Turuk tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Turuk tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kerr just stands there and leans against the cage. Turuk breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Turuk fails with the takedown. Turuk throws a leg kick which misses Kerr's front leg but catches the back leg as Kerr tries to avoid it. Turuk has closed the distance and engaged Kerr in a clinch.

Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kerr walks away with a smile on his face. Turuk gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Turuk. Kerr moves to clinch but Turuk breaks away and Turuk counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Kerr fails with an attempt to clinch.
Turuk looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Mark Kerr will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Kerr shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. A combination from Turuk does no damage. Kerr is trying hard to land a takedown here. Turuk sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. Turuk changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Kerr tries to avoid it but Turuk manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Kerr to the ground. Kerr escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Turuk closes this distance looking for a takedown but Kerr circles away. The fight moves into the clinch position.

Kerr's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. Kerr struggles to land a body shot inside as Turuk controls his hands.

Turuk pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat. Turuk fails with the takedown. Gari Turuk is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. Kerr tries to grapple but his opponent circles and Turuk counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

A telegraphed takedown attempt from Turuk is defended easily by Kerr. Kerr gets tackled into the cage by Turuk. Turuk maintains the clinch. Turuk wants to break free but Kerr has control.
And that's the end of the fight! That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Mark Kerr. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Kerr, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
