Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Billy Paxton (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kid Vera (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Paxton kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Advance Australia Fair. Vera has chosen You are just a JOKE! as his entrance music. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Vera swats away the attempt to clinch by Paxton.
Paxton throws an off balance right hand
and Vera counters with a nice uppercut.

It looks like Billy Paxton has been cut.
Paxton scores with a nice strike.
Vera ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Paxton clinches up with Vera and pushes him back against the cage.
Vera blocks a punch to the side of the head.
Vera is looking to break free of the clinch but Paxton has double underhooks.

Vera wants to push off and get back to the center of the mat but Paxton has him pressed against the cage.
Paxton blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Vera misses with a punch on the inside.
Paxton tries to throw a body punch but Vera avoids it by throwing Paxton back against the cage.
Paxton has a couple of punches blocked by Vera.

Paxton swings wildly with an uppercut but Vera uses good head movement to avoid it.

Vera breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
The fighters circling - Paxton throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Paxton throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Paxton goes for a body shot but it's blocked.
Vera can't break the clinch.

Vera's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Vera shoots in looking for a takedown. Paxton tries to sprawl out of it but Vera keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Paxton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Vera looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Paxton is fending him off so far but Vera persists. Nope, Paxton circles away and we're back to standing.
Paxton closes the distance and lands a vicious right hand that drops Vera! Paxton dives in looking to finish! Vera is still trying to defend himself but he's taking too many shots and the referee has no choice but to stop the fight!
