Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Sydney, Dave Wolf!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Guara Grove!
The judges for this bout are Eliza Hachem, Winston Howard and John Mangel.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wolf misses with a takedown
and Grove makes him pay by landing a nice hook to the body before moving out of range.
Grove is looking to clinch but Wolf is avoiding it.
Grove stuffs the takedown attempt from Wolf. Wolf gets slowly back to his feet.
Wolf throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Grove's waist but Grove gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Wolf off to one side.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Dave Wolf. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wolf gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Grove counters with a kick to the head that grazes his opponent. Wolf is lucky that one didn't land flush.
Grove defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Wolf.

Wolf throws a right and a left that both miss.

Wolf has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Grove after a bit of a struggle.

Grove is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Wolf is controlling him.

Grove is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Wolf is trying to work a guillotine from the top, or something like that? Don't know how he thinks he's going to get a finish from there.
Wolf drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Grove dives on top into guard.

Wolf has a closed guard, preventing Grove from standing up.
Wolf has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Wolf has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Grove should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Wolf has tightened it up now! Grove should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
