Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Carlos Gonzales!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Spencer gets caught flat footed, as Gonzales shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Spencer has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Gonzales slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Gonzales shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Spencer sprawls well. Spencer wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Gonzales gets slowly back to his feet.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Gonzales fails to land the takedown.
Spencer lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Spencer fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Gonzales.
Spencer jabs away that one connects to the head of his opponent.
Spencer scores with a slapping inside leg kick.
Good leg kick by Spencer there. It's the ones that make that thud noise that hurt and that was an almighty thud.
Spencer thumps Gonzales with a low kick.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Spencer lands a leg kick. The shin dug right into the meat of the thigh.

Spencer lands a big right hand that sends Gonzales crashing to the mat! Spencer stays standing though and waves Gonzales back to his feet!

Gonzales is still on wobbly legs! Can Spencer finish him?
Brian Spencer seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Spencer is looking for an opening here. He's unloaded a big left hand that catches Gonzales flush on the jaw and sends him tumbling to the canvas! Gonzales is out cold! Spencer holds back from landing any unnecessary shots to his unconscious opponent, as the referee reacts slowly to the situation. A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
