The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kid lands a jab to Oliveira's midsection.
Oliveira throws a sloppy head kick
and Kid counters with a stiff right hand.
Oliveira on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Oliveira is rocked!
Kid connects nicely with a jab. Noted by the judges no doubt.
Oliveira is still on wobbly legs! Can Kid finish him?
Oliveira drops his hands for a split second and Kid immediately capitalizes on the opportunity by smashing a powerful hook into Oliveira face, sending his mouthguard sailing through the air, much to the delight of the crowd. Kid follows up with a right hand that knocks Oliveira into next week. He's out cold and this fight is over!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:17 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Karate Kid!
Karate Kid retains his bantamweight title!
After winning the bout, Karate Kid thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
