Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Juan Sanchez! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jake Edgar! The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Sanchez takes a jab right on the kisser.
Edgar is looking to clinch. Sanchez drops Edgar with a left right combo! Sanchez follows him down to the ground into side control.
Edgar is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Sanchez sitting in side control, looking to soften his opponent up with elbows and hammerfists but Edgar is avoiding damage well and looking to escape the position.
Edgar is still in real trouble! Can Sanchez finish him? The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Edgar has one of Sanchez's arms on lockdown, trying to prevent him from doing any damage. Edgar seems to have recovered his senses. Edgar is not content to let Sanchez control the position. Edgar wants to get back to his feet. Edgar tries to buck Sanchez off but Sanchez is having none of it. Edgar takes a nasty elbow to the side of the head. Edgar is not in a great position here, taking some shots. Edgar avoids any damage from the ground and pound of Sanchez. Edgar is holding Sanchez down, trying to stall.
That's one minute gone in the round. Sanchez tries to score with some ground and pound. Edgar controls his posture well this time though and the shots don't do any damage. Sanchez tries to land with some ground and pound but misses. An elbow from Sanchez crashes against the mat.
Edgar is in a bad spot here and he knows it... just holding on for now. Edgar tries to get back to half guard but can't. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Who's going to make the next move? Edgar tries to improve position but can't. Edgar gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard. Edgar is doing well to control the position and prevent Sanchez from advancing to side control. Edgar on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Edgar keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Edgar is trying to stand back up but Sanchez is controlling him
This has been an exciting period of action! Edgar is holding on to half guard well. Edgar is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Sanchez's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Sanchez's back!
That's three minutes gone in the round. Edgar lands an elbow to the side of the head. Sanchez tries to escape the position.
Edgar has the hooks sunk in and you can see the will to fight slowly draining out of Sanchez's body.
Sanchez is trying to break free.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Sanchez is defending well here and trying to improve his position.
Edgar lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Sanchez rolls and manages to get back to half guard. Nicely done.
Edgar uses his free foot to push down on Sanchez's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Sanchez. Edgar goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Sanchez is on top in guard.
Sanchez stopping the sweep attempt from Edgar. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Edgar is pulling down on Sanchez's head to control his posture. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Juan Sanchez will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
Edgar scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Sanchez misses with some strikes from the bottom.
Sanchez is trying to control but Edgar manages to pass to mount!
Sanchez is bucking up trying to escape but Edgar cracks him with another couple of good strikes. Edgar raining down hammerfists from mount. Edgar lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Sanchez hang on?
Sanchez is rocked! The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Edgar with shots to the head and body - Sanchez looks very uncomfortable down there. Oh Sanchez is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!! Edgar connects with a bit shot that sees Sanchez covering up! More strikes from Edgar and the referee jumps in to stop the fight! Edgar is our winner by TKO!
