Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Yoshiro Akiyama (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Frank Dux (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Akiyama comes to the ring accompanied by Time To Say Goodbye. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Yoshiro Akiyama!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Frank Dux!
The judges for this bout are Shigeki Sano, Yukihiro Shimada and Ren Mimura.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Akiyama has Dux up against the ropes in a clinch.
Akiyama has Dux pressed up against the ropes and is working for takedown. Dux manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Akiyama blocks an uppercut.
Dux changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Akiyama fights it off and pushes away nicely.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Dux tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Akiyama smiles and moves away.
Dux throws a sloppy head kick and Akiyama moves out of range easily.
Dux avoids a punch combination nicely.

Akiyama closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Akiyama lands in his opponent's guard.

Dux working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Akiyama doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Akiyama manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Akiyama has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

Yoshiro Akiyama has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Frank Dux.

Akiyama gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Dux regains guard.

Dux is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

Dux is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Akiyama pulls his head out easily.

The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Dux is staying active underneath Akiyama, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Akiyama lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Akiyama seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime.
Dux is trying to control but Akiyama manages to pass to mount!

Akiyama is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Dux is surviving well by controlling Akiyama's body position as best he can.
Dux seems to have recovered his senses.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Akiyama prevents Dux from getting the reversal.
Akiyama takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Dux is looking to improve his position but Akiyama isn't that keen on the idea.
The referee warns Dux that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.
The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Dux has hold of Akiyama's hands but Akiyama slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow.

The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Akiyama lands a nice short elbow.

Dux is looking to get full guard. It looks like he might be successful but at the last minute Akiyama jumps into side control!

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Akiyama cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
