Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike McCallum (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Albert Fish (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 11 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Mike McCallum!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 40 - 22 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Albert Fish!
The judges for this bout are Summer Carpenter, Bruno Hogan and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCallum misses with a takedown attempt
and Fish counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.


It looks like Mike McCallum has been cut.

Fish closes the distance and pushes McCallum back into the cage.

McCallum is trying to trip Fish. He has hold of a leg but Fish is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. McCallum persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
McCallum wants to control from the top but Fish keeps moving.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
McCallum throws a strike but Fish rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
McCallum has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCallum is on top in guard.
Fish wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.
McCallum pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Fish is keeping the position for now.
Fish trying to keep a closed guard but McCallum is proving a slippery customer.

McCallum working some ground and pound from guard but it's not doing any damage.
McCallum wants to control from the top but Fish keeps moving.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
McCallum tries to free his leg and advance position but Fish is retaining full guard.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Fish can do anything to dispel that myth.
Fish tries to land a sweep but no joy.
McCallum throwing strikes but missing.
McCallum scoring with some ground and pound.
McCallum will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

McCallum trying to control the position from guard on top but Fish is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
McCallum trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat.

Fish has control of McCallum's left arm, preventing McCallum from doing any damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Fish stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Fish wants it to stay on the feet.

Fish gets caught flat footed, as McCallum shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
McCallum won't allow Fish to sweep him here.
McCallum throws a big elbow that misses.
Fish utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
McCallum scoring with some ground and pound.
McCallum throws a strike but Fish rolls with it and manages to sweep. Now he's in guard on top.
Fish must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.
There's a bit of a scramble here and now McCallum is on top in guard.
Fish looking to hit a scissor sweep but McCallum is one step ahead there.

McCallum stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fish swivels though and keeps the full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
McCallum is in close to Fish's body, working some short punches and elbows.
McCallum missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.
McCallum loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
McCallum throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.

McCallum connects with a looping right hand.


That has opened up Albert Fish's cut even more.
McCallum tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Fish swivels and escapes.
Fish keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.
Fish doesn't manage to clinch there - McCallum circles away.
Fish misses with a straight right.
Fish throws a hook but McCallum avoids it easily.
Mike McCallum seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCallum misses with a takedown attempt - Fish sprawls well and throws a nice strike on the way out which just misses.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Mike McCallum. That's going to take a lot out of him.
McCallum shoots in for a takedown but Fish shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.

Fish tries to sprawl but McCallum drives through with a takedown into half guard.

McCallum throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Fish keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Fish moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.
Fish is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Mike McCallum overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
McCallum is looking to advance position but Fish has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!
McCallum is squirming around, avoiding Fish's attempts to control the action.
McCallum tries to get back to half guard but can't.
McCallum is working hard here to advance position.

Fish has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of McCallum's face.
Fish looking to control and managing it successfully.
McCallum sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Fish is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Fish stalling.
McCallum is trying to get back to full guard.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Fish thows a huge punch but McCallum dodges it nicely.
McCallum makes his way to full guard. A much better position for McCallum.

Fish preventing the sweep.
McCallum lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Fish!
McCallum trying to control but he's not successful this time.
McCallum misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
McCallum controlling the pace for now.
Fish really trying hard to get back to half guard here.

McCallum lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
McCallum avoids the attempt from Fish to control.
McCallum with a couple of short strikes.


Albert Fish's cut is absolute horrible now. This looks like something out of a horror film with blood covering both fighters.

The referee calls the doctor in to look at Albert Fish's cut. Oh no, the doctor has called an end to the bout!
