The judges for this bout are Dmitry Maklakov, Aleksandr Martynov and Ivan Kurochkin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tan takes the fight into the clinch.
Thurman keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Tan's efforts to push away.
Tan pulls Thurman into guard.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.
Thurman stands up from guard. Let's bang!
Thurman gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Thurman jumps guard and drags Tan to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Thurman's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.

Thurman manages to escape and get back to his feet.
Tan listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Tan throws a leg kick
and Thurman counters with a shoot takedown. Tan fights it but they end up in guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Thurman's corner. There ya go! There ya go!
Thurman is stalling in the full guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Tan wants to sweep but no luck.
Thurman sitting in guard, not really doing much.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Thurman drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Thurman seems to have locked his on tight now - Tan screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Thurman, as he picks up the win!

Harry Thurman decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
