Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Chris Mate (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Adam Jacobson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Mate! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Adam Jacobson! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Jack Bonds and Don Winkell.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jacobson on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Mate. Mate obviously looking to wear him down.
Jacobson scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground. Jacobson is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position. Jacobson thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mate's head. Jacobson is sneakily working for an arm triangle but Mate sees it coming and defends easily. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jacobson seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Jacobson is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Mate has managed to free his arm - good work. Mate is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Jacobson scores with a couple of nice shots. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Adam Jacobson dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Mate shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Jacobson sprawls well. Jacobson wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Mate gets slowly back to his feet. Jacobson stuffs the takedown attempt from Mate. Mate gets slowly back to his feet. Nice sprawl there from Jacobson as Mate shoots in. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Chris Mate. That's going to take a lot out of him. Jacobson is looking to clinch but Mate is avoiding it.
Jacobson looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Mate shoots for a double leg takedown but Jacobson sprawls well. He's pushed Mate's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Jacobson fails with a takedown attempt.

Jacobson is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Mate can't fight it off and eventually Jacobson manages to take the fight to the floor. Mate looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. Jacobson passes into half guard. Mate tries to roll over but Jacobson keeps him under control. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Adam Jacobson has got the better of the ground game so far.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Jacobson cracks Mate with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

Jacobson has his opponent trapped and is landing shots. Not a good position for Mate. Jacobson is working on the RNC. He looks like he's got it but Mate won't tap... Oh, he's out! The ref rips Jacobson off his unconscious opponent!
