Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Maksim Mazurov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Coleman (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Maksim Mazurov!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Reggie Coleman!
The judges for this bout are Ben Zyskovitsi, Matti Vanhoillinen and Roosa Järviläinen.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Mazurov tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Coleman counters with a nice single leg takedown and he's in Mazurov's guard now.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Coleman is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

The ref stands the fighters back up. Reggie Coleman was stalling too much, according to the referee.

Coleman throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Mazurov was covering up waiting for the punch and Coleman finishes the takedown easily into guard.

Reggie Coleman has forced the referee to step in and restart the fight on the feet.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

OK we're going to have a standup here. Reggie Coleman hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart.
Mazurov tries to clinch up

and Coleman moves into the clinch.

Mazurov is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Coleman is controlling him well.

Coleman throwing ground and pound but whilst doing so, he forgets to control position and Mazurov works his way back to half guard. Good composure under pressure.

The referee looks like he's ready to step in and stand the fighters back up.
Coleman thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Mazurov's head.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Coleman connects with a nice short shot to Mazurov's temple.

Coleman thows a huge punch but Mazurov dodges it nicely.

Reggie Coleman showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. Let's hear some noise people - this is the final round!

Coleman tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Coleman has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Coleman takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
Mazurov pushes Coleman away and creates a bit of space to escape. He's almost out here... but no, Coleman gets a good hold of his legs and remains firmly in side control.

Coleman looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Mazurov is avoiding damage well.
Coleman works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Coleman creates some space and throws a big elbow, but Mazurov sees it coming and moves his head just enough to avoid the strike.

Coleman is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Mazurov doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Coleman.
