The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Tiny Johnson and Daniel Franklin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bonnar changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Wood tries to avoid it but Bonnar manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Wood to the ground. Wood escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Bayden Wood seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Bonnar tries to check the leg kick but that clearly hurt him.

Bonnar takes a jab on the nose. He smiles like he loves it and keeps coming.
Wood misses with a kick to the body.

Wood throws a low kick but Bonnar avoids it.
Wood shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Bonnar sprawls well. Bonnar wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Wood gets slowly back to his feet.

Wood moves in looking to clinch but Bonnar pushes him off.

Bonnar on the wrong end of a nice low kick. He's acting like it's no big deal but he doesn't want to take many more of those.

Wood fakes a jab and scores with a low kick.
Wood rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Bonnar moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
Bonnar catches Wood with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Bonnar looks to throw the jab but Wood is out of range.
Bonnar keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Wood.
Bonnar on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Wood. Wood obviously looking to wear him down.
A combination from Wood does no damage.
Bonnar fails in his attempt to clinch.
Wood throws a low kick but Bonnar moves out of range easily.
Nice sprawl there from Wood as Bonnar shoots in.

It looks like Steffan Bonnar has been cut.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Wood drops Bonnar with a beautiful combination! Bonnar stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Wood is looking for the KO!
Bonnar is rocked!
Wood connects with a leg kick. Bonnar looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.
Wood lands a left and a right that send Bonnar crashing to the mat, dazed. Wood thinks about following him to the mat but decides to wave him back up to his feet!
Oh Bonnar is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Wood wobbles Bonnar with a right hand and the left hook that follows puts him on his rear! Wood dives in with a huge flying punch that connects right on the button and puts Bonnar to sleep! - What a violent and spectacular finish!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:41 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Bayden Wood!
A relieved looking Bayden Wood thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
