Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Cannon Cage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Huber (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, for the middleweight championship of the world!
Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Cannon Cage!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Chris Huber!
The judges for this bout are Viktor Lagutenko, Vladimir Khabensky and Dmitry Maklakov.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Huber fails with a takedown attempt.

Cage pushes Huber up against the cage in a clinch.
Huber swings wildly with an uppercut but Cage uses good head movement to avoid it.
Huber tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Cage just stands there and leans against the cage.
Huber wants to break the clinch but can't.

Cage manages to pull guard.

Cage throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

Cage looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Huber pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Cage is keeping the position for now.
Huber passes into half guard.
Huber wants to pass to mount but Cage is defending the position.
Huber throwing shots but Cage is blocking nicely.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Cage gets back to full guard.

Huber thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Huber looking to pass the guard.

Huber drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Cage manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Huber has Cage in his guard.
Cage working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Huber's head.
Cage wants to control from the top but Huber keeps moving.
Cage won't allow Huber to sweep him here.

Huber has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Cage can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Huber is active off his back here, looking for submissions.
Huber looks gassed!

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Cage passes Huber's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Cage moves into side control, avoiding a weak kimura attempt from Huber.
Cage is looking to take a break and control but Huber is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Huber tries to improve position but can't.
Huber is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Cage's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Huber moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard.

Huber is looking for a triangle but Cage pushes his legs off easily.

Cage wants to control from the top but Huber keeps moving.

Huber working away from the bottom but not quite defensive enough there because Cage has passed into half guard!

Cage prevents Huber from standing back up.
Huber is looking to improve his position.
Huber wants to sweep but Cage has passed to side control!
Huber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.
Huber regains full guard. Nicely done.
Cage wants to control from the top but Huber keeps moving.
Huber bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Cage's guard.
Huber looking to pass the guard.
Huber is pushing down on Cage's leg trying to pass to half guard. Cage is fighting to maintain full guard but Huber has managed to sneak the leg through.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Chris Huber dominated that round.
The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.


Huber lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.
Huber looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Cage is fending him off so far but Huber persists. Nope, Cage circles away and we're back to standing.

Cage closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Huber is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Huber is looking to sinch up a gullotine here but Cage pulls his head out easily.
Still in half guard, Cage seems content to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Cage prevents Huber from improving his position.
Huber manages to get to full guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Cage postures up in Huber's guard and throws a big left but Huber blocks it.

Huber pushes a forearm under Cage's chin to create some space. He's escaped his hips and pivoted quickly for an armbar! Can he extend the arm? Yes, Cage is tapping out! Damn, that was fast!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:03 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Chris Huber!
