Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kirk Lazarus (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shalako Carlin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lazarus's entrance music is Last Resort. A fine choice. Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Kirk Lazarus! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Montreal, Shalako Carlin! The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Carlin has taken the fight to the clinch.
Carlin connects with a knee to the head.
Carlin lands a nice knee to the body. Lazarus swings wildly with an uppercut but Carlin uses good head movement to avoid it. Lazarus trying to control the position but instead, Carlin has worked for underhooks and has pushed Lazarus into the cage. Carlin connects with a knee to the head.
Carlin blocks a couple of punches on the inside.
Carlin stalling the fight.
Carlin misses with a shot to the kidneys.
Lazarus managing to block the knees to the body from Carlin.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Carlin misses with a knee to the head. Carlin crunches a lovely knee into Lazarus's ribcage. Lazarus leaning his opponent against the cage. Still in the clinch, Lazarus scores with a nice short uppercut. Carlin landing knees to the head.
Lazarus wants to stall.
Lazarus struggles to land a body shot inside as Carlin controls his hands.
That's one minute gone in the round. Lazarus misses with the head strike.
Carlin lands a nice knee to the body. Carlin unloads a knee to the mid-section. Lazarus lets out a prehistoric sounding urrrrgh. Carlin lands an elbow inside that Lazarus shrugs off. Carlin tries a knee to the head but Lazarus blocks it.
Lazarus changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Carlin fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Shalako Carlin is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Carlin closes the distance and clinches. A nice glancing elbow lands by Carlin. Lazarus avoiding damage as Carlin throws knees to the body.
Carlin gets an overhook and lands an elbow to the side of the head.
Lazarus is rocked! Carlin creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Lazarus's defenses. Oh Lazarus is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Kneeeeees! The crowd are calling for knees to the body. Carlin obliges. This has been an exciting period of action! The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Carlin takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life. Carlin putting his Muay Thai to good use. He has Lazarus in a tight clinch and is doing some damage with knees to the body. Carlin lands a big knee to the head and Lazarus goes down! Carlin pounces and finishes the fight with strikes! He jumps to his feet and celebrates with the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:57 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Shalako Carlin! After winning the bout, Shalako Carlin thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
