Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Bart Maniac (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jonathan Courchesne (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Courchesne has chosen Lux Aeterna By Clint Mansell as his entrance music. Bart Maniac has a significant reach advantage - let's see if he can make it count.

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 8 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jonathan Courchesne!
The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maniac throws a chopping leg kick but Courchesne manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Courchesne throws a leg kick but Maniac moved away.
Courchesne shoots for a takedown but Maniac saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Courchesne lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Courchesne lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise.
Maniac really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Maniac throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

It looks like we're going to have a standup here. Neither fighter is doing enough on the ground.
Maniac moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body.
Courchesne lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.

Courchesne shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Maniac manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage.

Well, the referee has seen enough. Neither fighter is active enough on the ground so he's stood them back up.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Courchesne.

Bart Maniac has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jonathan Courchesne.
A nice leg kick lands there from Courchesne.
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Courchesne lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Maniac has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Maniac and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Courchesne fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Maniac to the ground. Courchesne is now in Maniac's guard.

We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Oooooh, big shot lands for Courchesne! Maniac is hurt baaadly! Courchesne is firing away with more strikes - Maniac is covering up... the ref is warning him to do something. He's just covering up though still and the ref has to step in to end the fight! This one is all over!
