The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Wrist shoots in for a takedown but Ualesi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. Wrist misses with a low kick. No luck with that takedown attempt from Wrist. Wrist moves to clinch but Ualesi breaks away and Ualesi counters with a left and a right that stings Wrist. Wrist will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. Junior Ualesi has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Breaka Wrist. Wrist fails with a takedown attempt. Ualesi misses with a hook. Wrist shoots in looking for a takedown but Ualesi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Wrist's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. Wrist fails with the takedown and Ualesi counters with a two punch combo.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrist tries to clinch and Ualesi counters with a series of strikes. Wrist will be more careful next time no doubt. No luck for Wrist with that takedown attempt. Wrist with a lazy takedown attempt and Ualesi counters with a stiff right hand. Wrist tries to clinch and Ualesi counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Ualesi working aggressively here.
Ualesi lands with a light punch inside. Wrist is trying to force a seperation but Ualesi has the dominant position. A right hook to the body lands for Ualesi.

Ualesi lands a hook to the side of the head. Wrist tries to circle away but Ualesi has him pinned against the cage. Wrist wants a takedown.

We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Wrist has a closed guard, preventing Ualesi from standing up. Wrist is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Ualesi could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Ualesi is looking to stand up but Wrist won't let him. Wrist bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ualesi's guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ualesi wants to stand and escape but Wrist is having none of it. Wrist wants to pass the guard but Ualesi is keeping the position. Wrist has decided he wants to stand but the closed guard of Ualesi is proving hard to escape from. Ualesi knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Wrist on the ground. Wrist wants to control from the top but Ualesi keeps moving. Ualesi is trying to stand up but he's not managed so far. Wrist wants to control from the top but Ualesi keeps moving.
OK we're going to have a standup here. Breaka Wrist hasn't been effective enough on the ground and the referee wants a restart. Wrist tries to clinch letting Ualesi counter with a right hand. Ualesi lands a jab to the head.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Wrist with a poor takedown and Ualesi counters with a lovely straight right hand! Some bone on bone action there as Ualesi checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one. Wrist closes the distance looking to clinch enabling Ualesi to counter with a crisp jab. Wrist looks for a takedown but Ualesi sprawls well. Wrist misses with a body shot.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Wrist tries to clinch but fails miserably and Ualesi connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Wrist tries to clinch up and Wrist takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Breaka Wrist will probably get the nod. The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!
Wrist takes a punch to the jaw and another one to the bread basket. Ualesi avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Wrist closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Ualesi quickly recovers to half guard. Wrist trying to control the action but Ualesi is working from the bottom. Ualesi is looking to escape. Wrist moves nicely into side control. Wrist landing a few strikes. Wrist scoring with punches and elbows. Ualesi wants to get back to his feet but Wrist drags him back down. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ualesi is not content to let Wrist control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Wrist prevents Ualesi from escaping the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Ualesi is not content to let Wrist control the position. Wrist tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Wrist has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Breaka Wrist has got the better of the ground game so far. Ualesi bucks up and tries to throw Wrist off but instead Wrist has got his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. Ualesi holding both Wrist 's hands and preventing any damage. Wrist has managed to slip his arm under Ualesi's chin. This could be all over... yep, Ualesi is tapping out! Submission win for Wrist.
