Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ikki Rokusho (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Nick Shields (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both these guys have really solid chins. Will we see a standup war or will they both decide that a knockout is unlikely and try to win the fight elsewhere?

The judges for this bout are Ryoma Takatsuka, Chris Saunders and Micheangelo Fripello.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Rokusho misses with a looping left.
Rokusho pushing out the jab but it's not landing.
Rokusho throws a push kick but Shields slaps the foot to one side.
A bone on bone clash there as Rokusho blocks the leg kick.
Rokusho doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Rokusho cracks Shields with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.

Shields closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Rokusho tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Shields cranks the arm and Rokusho screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Rokusho, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.
