Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Steve Simon (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and John Wayne Hanson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Simon comes to the ring accompanied by Down With The Sickness. Steve Simon has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Steve Simon! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, John Wayne Hanson! The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Marco Blurström and Ben Zyskovitsi.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hanson closes the distance and clinches. A shot in the inside from Hanson. Hanson is pressed up against the ropes. Simon has hold of a leg and is looking to drag Hanson down to the mat. Hanson avoids the attempt though and has circled away. We're back to striking at a distance. Simon keeps the fight on the outside. Simon swats away the attempt to clinch by Hanson. Hanson misses with a head kick.
A punch lands to the side of Simon 's head but he takes it in his stride. Hanson tries to close the distance and clinch but Simon swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away. Hanson moves into the clinch. Simon throws an elbow but it misses.
Hanson jumps guard.
Simon stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Hanson swivels though and keeps the full guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Simon! Hanson manages to capitalize on a mistake by Simon to take his back!
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. A lull in the action here.
Hanson should think about turning a few of those tyres round his middle into muscle if he wants people to take him seriously as an athlete. Hanson controlling well, preventing Simon from escaping the position.
Simon staying busy and making it hard for Hanson to control. Simon tries to roll but Hanson sticks to his back.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Hanson is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Simon avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fight stays on the outside here - Hanson looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Simon wants to clinch. Hanson is looking to clinch. Simon looks for a takedown but Hanson sprawls well. Hanson lets loose with a powerful body kick. Simon will feel that in the morning. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Hanson tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.

Simon is rocked! Hanson drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Hanson jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position. Hanson stands and throws Simon's legs to the side, diving into side control. Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Simon is trying to get back to half guard.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanson looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Simon is avoiding damage well.
Hanson is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Simon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. Hanson controls the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
John Wayne Hanson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! Let's get this one finished - here comes the final round!

Hanson tries to clinch and Simon counters with a single leg into guard. Hanson didn't expect that. The fighters are tangled up in the ropes here. We might need a restart if the fighters can't break free themselves. Hanson controls Simon momentarily but Simon frees himself. Simon wants to control from the top but Hanson keeps moving. Simon pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Hanson is keeping the position for now. Both fighters are breathing heavily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Hanson looking to sweep here. No luck so far. Hanson is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. Hanson controls Simon momentarily but Simon frees himself.

Neither fighter is doing enough for the referee's liking and he's decided to stand them back up. Simon gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.

Simon lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. The fight moves into the clinch position. A right hook to the body lands for Simon.
Hanson lands a nice elbow. Simon throws an elbow but it misses.

A shot to de liver by Hanson. Beautiful body shot. Hanson lands with an uppercut that bounces Simon off the ropes and back into rage. Simon shoots in looking for a takedown. Hanson tries to sprawl out of it but Simon keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the ropes. Hanson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Hanson clinches but Simon breaks the clinch and Simon counters with a shoot takedown. Hanson fights it but they end up in guard. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Hanson throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Simon passes Hanson's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Steve Simon showed his dominance in that final round. I think Hanson has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
