Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Tory Puetz (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Bad Dog (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Tory Puetz had a look across the cage there at his opponent. He definitely means business

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Tory Puetz!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Bad Dog!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Patrick Alders and Saam Ante.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Puetz instigates a clinch.

Dog is fighting off a takedown attempt but Puetz is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Dog to the mat. Dog regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat.
Puetz seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.

Dog lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Puetz!

It looks like Tory Puetz has been cut.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Dog with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.
Dog punching from mount but Puetz doing a good job of avoiding damage.
Dog trying to control but he's not successful this time.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Puetz wriggling around on the bottom manages to avoid the strikes thrown by Dog.

Dog is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Puetz to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Puetz shrugs it off.
Dog content just to control the position here.

Dog goes for an armbar but he's not got it… Puetz turns into him and now he's in Dog's guard.

Dog looking for submissions from the bottom but instead Puetz passes into half guard.

Puetz knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dog on the ground.
Puetz prevents Dog from improving his position.

Puetz is thinking about going for an arm triangle but he can't free his leg.
Well, if Puetz is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Puetz not landing any meaningful shots this time.
The fighters are battling for position here. Dog manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Puetz is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
Dog wants to sweep here but Puetz controlling him for the moment.
Dog is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Puetz keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Dog missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
Puetz tries to roll over but Dog keeps him under control.

Dog is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Puetz still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Puetz has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

Puetz stands up and beckons Dog to his feet.
Puetz lands a jab followed by a nice looking cross.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Puetz lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.

Puetz drives through with a takedown into Dog's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Bad Dog will probably get the nod.
The cut man is working on Tory Puetz's cut.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!



Dog gets caught flat footed, as Puetz shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.

Dog is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Puetz defends well.
Puetz trying to control the position from guard on top but Dog is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Dog lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for Puetz!
Puetz manages to regain half guard. Good work.
Dog trying to mount his opponent but Puetz defends it.
Dog has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount.

Puetz tries to hold on but Dog pushes him away.
Puetz is in all sorts of trouble here.

Dog throws some shoulder strikes here and then postures up. Oh, he's gone for an armbar! Puetz has his hands clasped together but Dog breaks the hold and Puetz is forced to tap! This one is aaaaaaaaaaall over! That was lightning fast by Dog!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Bad Dog!
