The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kabashi lands an overhand right. Nice takedown defense from Kabashi. No joy for Fighter on that attempt. Kabashi throws a combination that misses and Fighter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. The fighters circling - Kabashi throws out the jab but it was never going to land. Kabashi jabs Fighter right on the nose. Fighter blinks but takes it well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Kabashi lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Fighter circles away quickly and effectively. Fighter takes a shot to the nose. Hopefully that hasn't broken it. Fighter tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Kabashi paws at him with a jab and circles away. Kabashi closes the distance and clinches. Fighter escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.
Nice uppercut there from Kabashi. Kabashi stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Kabashi wants it to stay on the feet. Fighter shoots in and drives through. Kabashi sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for The Fighter. That's going to take a lot out of him. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Fighter. Kabashi looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Fighter! Fighter is breathing heavily. Fighter can't do much from the bottom here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kabashi scores with a couple of short elbows. Kabashi lands a big elbow and you can see that really hurt Fighter! Kabashi senses the opportunity and scores with more strikes - he's put Fighter out! The ref tackles him out of the way to prevent him landing more strikes - this one is all over!
