The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Powell fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Goring loads up on a big right hand but Powell slips the punch.
Powell lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Goring circles away quickly and effectively.
Powell ducks under a wild hook from Goring .
Oh, that's a big right hand from Goring and Powell goes tumbling to the canvas! Goring follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
It looks like Daniel Powell has been cut.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!
Goring has hold of the far side arm. He's working for the Kimura, can Powell defend it? Goring steps over the head and cranks it - Powell is tapping out! That was textbook stuff right there - nice submission victory for Goring !
