The judges for this bout are Anni Minnemäki, Ben Zyskovitsi and Roosa Järviläinen.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reznik shoots in for a takedown but Warfield shows good takedown defense.
Reznik lands a jab to the nose.
Warfield scores with a nice takedown into half guard. Let's see what he's got on the ground.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.
Reznik pushes Warfield off looking to stand but Warfield dives back in and keeps control.
Warfield is looking for a kimura but Reznik is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Warfield to get the leverage.
Reznik has a hand on Warfield's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Warfield takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!

Reznik tries to roll over but Warfield keeps him under control.

Warfield wants to pass the guard but Reznik is defending well.

Reznik has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Warfield is working away from the top position though.

Warfield is working for a kimura from half guard. He's really concentrating on the hold and it's allowed Reznik to slip a leg under and get back to full guard.

Warfield is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Reznik doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Warfield.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Reznik tries to close the distance and clinch up but Warfield swats him away and circles back towards the center.

That was a close round but I would say that C G E Warfield will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Reznik will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.

Reznik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Warfield gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Reznik tries to roll over but Warfield keeps him under control.
Warfield works his foot free and advances to mount.
Warfield has control of Reznik's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Reznik regains control of the situation pretty easily.

Warfield wants to take his opponent's back but he's not managed it.
Warfield goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Reznik is on top in guard.

Warfield has momentary wrist control but Reznik slips an elbow through the middle.
Reznik is sitting in close to Warfield's body. Warfield has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Reznik is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Reznik is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Warfield.
