PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Franklin Worner (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gus Dengel (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Dengel is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Papillon. Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Worner looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.

Dengel shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Worner's guard.
The referee is pacing around the two fighters - he looks like he's thinking about a standup.

Worner really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Dengel seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Dengel passes Worner's right leg, so he's now in half guard.

Dengel working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Worner has a hand on Dengel's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Dengel takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Dengel lands a big shot there that rocks Worner but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.
Worner knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Dengel on the ground.

In his post fight interview, Gus Dengel gave a big smile as he said 'I appreciate Jake accepting this fight, coming off a two fight losing streak is rough but I'm back now baby!! '.
