Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Richard Lapointe (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Reggie Kray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Lapointe kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Clint Eastwood. Reggie Kray looks lathargic as he enters the arena. Wake up son, you're about to have a fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
3 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, Richard Lapointe! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Reggie Kray! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, James Atkins and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Kray gets caught napping as Lapointe dives in and scores a takedown. Kray manages to retain guard. Lapointe wants to get up but he can't break Kray's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. Lapointe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kray's guard. Lapointe working over Kray with some ground and pound. Kray looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Lapointe sitting and controlling from the half guard. Kray looking for a kimura from the bottom but Lapointe passes into side control! Lapointe decides to stand back up. Lapointe steps back and let's Kray get back to his feet. Kray shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Kray looks winded! Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Lapointe manages to get to full guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's one minute gone in the round. Kray wants to control from the top but Lapointe keeps moving. Lapointe wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Lapointe is looking to stand up but Kray isn't so interested in that idea.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Lapointe tries to land a sweep but no joy. Lapointe wants to get back to his feet but Kray is in a dominant position and won't allow it. Lapointe has control of Kray's left arm, preventing Kray from doing any damage.
The ref stands the fighters back up. Richard Lapointe wasn't doing enough on the ground. Lapointe throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Kray tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Lapointe is in Kray's guard. Lapointe passes Kray's right leg, so he's now in half guard. Lapointe escapes and gets back to his feet. Kray closes the distance but Lapointe moves to the side and Lapointe counters with a nice double leg into guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Kray wants to control but Lapointe passes easily into half guard.
Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Lapointe in particular looking to stall. Lapointe passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Kray! Lapointe looking to isolate an arm here. Kray doesn't see it coming and as Lapointe extends the arm, he's forced to tap out! Nice submission by Lapointe!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:43 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Armbar). Richard Lapointe! Richard Lapointe decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
