Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jason King (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Fedor Emelianenko (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Emelianenko comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Казаки - Ой да kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The judges for this bout are Aleksei Zolotukhin, Vladimir Khabensky and Valeri Chadov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
King slips a jab and a cross from Emelianenko.
Some wild striking there from Emelianenko.
Emelianenko lands a jab to the nose.
Emelianenko misses the shot to the body.
Emelianenko looks to land a combination but King avoids it well.
King avoids a punch combination nicely.
Emelianenko misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Emelianenko rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but King moves out of range and avoids them all easily.

King is trying to control the position but Emelianenko postures up.
King throws a couple of weedy looking strikes off his back.
Emelianenko won't allow King to get back to his feet.
King is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

so King counters with a double leg into guard. Good agility.
Emelianenko wants to stand and escape but King is having none of it.
King stands and steps away. Emelianenko gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.
King scores with a nice looking left hook and follows it up with an uppercut!

Jason King has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Fedor Emelianenko.

Emelianenko throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and King counters by clinching up.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for leaving it all in the cage!
King swings away with an uppercut that misses.

Emelianenko gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
King pushes Emelianenko off looking to stand but Emelianenko dives back in and keeps control.
Emelianenko is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. King doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Emelianenko.
Emelianenko thows a huge punch but King dodges it nicely.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Emelianenko looks towards his corner to check for any instructions. The corner give him nothing to work with, so he cracks King with a short hammerfist. I guess that's as good as any advice he could get in this position.
Emelianenko has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
King takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.
Emelianenko is looking to take a break and control but King is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.

Emelianenko is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. King knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

That was a close round but I would say that Jason King will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Fedor Emelianenko seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Emelianenko throws an overhand right that has King reeling! Emelianenko follows up with a more punches and King is out cold! This one is all over!
