The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davies drives through with a takedown into Denton's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.
The referee wants the fighters to be more active or he's going to reset them on the feet.
Denton is looking to stand up but Davies isn't so interested in that idea.
Davies trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Davies loading up with the ground and pound but he's missing more than he's landing in this flurry.
Denton controls Davies momentarily but Davies frees himself.

The ref calls for a clean break and stands the fighters back up. Kai Denton wasn't active enough on the ground.
Denton wants to clinch up but Davies keeps it at a distance.
Davies swats away the attempt to clinch by Denton.
Davies tries for a takedown but Denton sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
Kai Denton is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
