The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Gee leaves Jacobson with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Gee has managed to clinch.

That's four minutes gone in the round. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Jacobson accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand. Gee has momentary wrist control but Jacobson slips an elbow through the middle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Jacobson throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Gee works some decent striking defense from the bottom. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Jacobson looks to score some points with some ground and pound. Jacobson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way. Gee clinches up against the cage. Gee breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Jacobson shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard. Gee wants to get back to his feet.
Gee on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. Jacobson not landing any meaningful shots this time. Jacobson is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. Gee has hold of Jacobson's hands but Jacobson slips his arm to the side and lands an elbow. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jacobson missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Gee avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Jacobson. Gee kicks off Jacobson and gets to his feet. Gee tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. A head kick misses from Gee. Jacobson pushes Gee up against the cage in a clinch. Gee gets underhooks to prevent Jacobson's takedown attempt.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Jacobson shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Gee is trying to defend but Jacobson finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further. Jacobson is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Gee! Jacobson scores with a couple of good head shots there.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Jacobson looking to ground and pound his opponent to a finish here.

Jacobson is working for a rear naked choke. Gee is not defending it well and Jacobson has tightened it up quickly! This could be all over! Gee refuses to tap and goes to sleep, forcing the referee to intervene. A little trickle of blood came out of Gee's nose as his head slumped to the floor. That is naaaasty!
