PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Frank Ibanez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Roy Rage (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ibanez's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, master p yappin. We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Ibanez.

Rage is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Ibanez pulls him back up using the underhooks.

Rage tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Ibanez smiles and moves away.

The two fighters are working to gain dominance in the clinch.

Rage jumps guard but Ibanez stands there with Rage around his waist. Rage gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Rage wants to break free but Ibanez has control.

Ibanez escapes the clinch and we're back to striking.

Rage gets underhooks to prevent Ibanez's takedown attempt.

and Rage decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Ibanez's guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

That's time! Ibanez's corner gives him a slap on the ass as he gets ready to fight. This is the final round!


Rage shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Ibanez as he avoids it easily.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Ibanez changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Rage tries to avoid it but Ibanez manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Rage to the ground. Rage escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

The fight moves into the clinch position.

Rage bobs and weaves into range and then changes levels and scores with a nice takedown into side control.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ibanez is trying to stand back up. He's worked his way up against the cage but Rage has just dragged him back down to the mat.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end.

Roy Rage has got the better of the ground game so far.
Rage moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.
Frank Ibanez has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!

I've got Rage winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
