Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Big Jim!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of New York, Chubber Lane!
The judges for this bout are Steve Montenegro, John Roberts and Dean Styles.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A punch combination from Lane misses.
Lane drops Jim with a left right combo! Lane follows him down to the ground into side control.
Jim is rocked!
It looks like Big Jim has been cut.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Lane is trying to get an arm triangle but Jim is defending well.
Oh Jim is still in real trouble! Will he be able to recover?!!
Lane tries to stand but Jim is controlling his head.
Lane controlling the position from side mount.
Jim seems to have got his legs back now.
Lane has knee on belly and now moves to full mount! Trouble for Jim!
Lane tries to control but Jim wriggling away.
Jim blocking the ground and pound.

Lane can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Jim is looking to escape.

Lane wants to control the pace but Jim is squirming around nicely.
Jim wants to hold on but Lane pushes him away.
Lane trying to control but Jim is having none of it.

Jim is writhing around trying to get back to his feet.

Lane controlling the position easily from mount.
Lane avoids the attempt from Jim to control.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up.
Lane drops Jim with a nice combination! Lane dives into Jim's guard, looking to finish!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Lane trying to pass the guard. He's being very persistent here but Jim manages to land a sweep and now he's on top!
Jim postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Jim will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

Jim decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Lane, up you get!

Lane tries to close the distance and clinch but Jim swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lane misses with a wild body shot.
Jim checks a low kick from Lane.
Jim slips a jab and a cross from Lane.
Lane tried to score with a low kick but Jim checks it.
Lane swings away but doesn't land with a series of punches.
Lane moves into the clinch.
Lane has had enough of the clinch but Jim keeps him there for the moment.
A frustrated look appears on Lane's face as he tries to break the clinch.
The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action!
Jim keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Lane's efforts to push away.
Jim manages to break the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chubber Lane dominated that round.
The cut man is working on Big Jim's cut.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Jim tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Jim cracks Lane with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Lane avoids the body shot from Jim.
Lane tries to clinch but Jim moves out of range.
Oh, that's a big right hand from Lane and Jim goes tumbling to the canvas! Lane follows him to the ground and looks to finish from half guard.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Lane is looking for submissions but instead, Jim has regained full guard.
Lane trying to pass the guard but can't manage it just yet.
Jim wants to stand up but Lane is controlling him.

Lane would like to get this fight back to the feet but can't get free from the closed guard.
Jim trying to control the position here.
Lane must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

The ref stands the fighters back up because Big Jim just wasn't active enough.
Lane throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Jim.
Lane wants to slow Jim down by chopping away at his legs.
Big Jim is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Lane throws a right and a left that Jim avoids nicely.
Lane throws a hook but Jim avoids it easily.
Lane tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jim manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Lane tries to bum rush Jim with a series of wild strikes but Jim uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lane lands a left and a right that sends Jim crashing to the canvas! Lane dives into mount looking to finish!
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Jim wants to hold on but Lane pushes him away.
Lane looking to ground and pound but Jim is blocking nicely.
Lane throwing sloppy strikes, which aren't doing any damage.
Lane is trying to control here but Jim has managed to regain half guard.

Jim wants to stand back up but Lane manages to pass into side control.
Jim explodes and escapes back to his feet! Nice escape there!
Lane scores with a reasonable looking shot to the body. Jim doesn't seem bothered though.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Lane misses with a few strikes there.
Lane throws a low kick but Jim moves out of range easily.
Jim tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Jim walks into a straight right, dropping him to the canvas! Lane swarms him and finishes the fight with a hail of punches! What a brutal finish!
