Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Ron Kaleza (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Dom Dretiago (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Dretiago takes the fight into the clinch. Kaleza scores a nice knee to the body.
Kaleza lands a good knee to the midsection. Dretiago won't want to take too many of those. Kaleza throws a knee to the head but misses.

Kaleza is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Dretiago jumps guard but Kaleza stands there with Dretiago around his waist. Dretiago gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.

Dom Dretiago seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Dretiago fails with a takedown attempt. Dretiago shoots in for a takedown but Kaleza shows good takedown defense. Dretiago shoots in looking for a takedown. Kaleza tries to sprawl out of it but Dretiago keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Kaleza manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dretiago shoots in for a takedown but doesn't get it. Kaleza lands with a kick to the temple. Dretiago shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?" Dretiago fails with the takedown. Dretiago closes the distance and clinches up with Kaleza, looking for a takedown. Dretiago pushes Kaleza against the cage but Kaleza circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Dretiago shoots in for a takedown but Kaleza shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet. As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action. No luck for Dretiago with that takedown attempt. Dretiago has a takedown stuffed. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ron Kaleza dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
A telegraphed right hand from Kaleza misses the target. Dretiago fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Kaleza connects with an inside leg kick. A chopping leg kick lands by Kaleza. Kaleza lands with a kick to the ribs.

That's one minute gone in the round. Kaleza throws a sloppy head kick and Dretiago moves out of range easily. Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Kaleza ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Dretiago moves away. Dretiago shoots for a double leg takedown but Kaleza sprawls well. He's pushed Dretiago's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily. Nice sprawl there from Kaleza as Dretiago shoots in. Kaleza throws a front kick that sends Dretiago stumbling back into the cage. Kaleza throws a head kick but Dretiago moves out of range.
Dretiago looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. No luck for Dretiago with that takedown attempt.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Kaleza blocks a leg kick. Kaleza scores with a kick to the midsection. Dretiago moves into range and clinches up with Kaleza. Kaleza with an attempt at a knee that misses.
Kaleza throws a vicious knee straight up the middle but Dretiago blocks it with crossed arms. Dretiago tries for a takedown but Kaleza manages to get underhooks.

Dretiago is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Kaleza to keep the fight standing. Dretiago managing to block the knees to the body from Kaleza.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Kaleza with an attempt at a knee that misses.

Dretiago bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Kaleza's guard. Dretiago won't allow Kaleza to get back to his feet. Dretiago drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Dretiago as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Kaleza screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Dretiago! Nice submission victory there!
