Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Arnold Washer (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Anderson Silva (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Arnold Washer! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Anderson Silva! The judges for this bout are Yves DeLean, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Silva throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Washer was covering up waiting for the punch and Silva finishes the takedown easily into guard. Washer has his foot on Silva's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Silva works his way back into a safe position though. Washer being controlled here, momentarily. Washer working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Silva doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Silva manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Washer keeping full guard, as Silva tries to pass. Silva is persisting with the attempt to improve his position. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Washer is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. Washer working for a triangle but Silva defends it easily.
That's one minute gone in the round. Washer looking for submissions from the bottom here. Moving his hips around, possibly looking for an armbar.
Silva slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard. Silva got a little sloppy there for a moment and Washer has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Silva has managed to get both his arms back between Washer's legs - danger averted. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Washer looking for submissions off his back, moving his hips, looking for an opening.
Silva wants to stand but Washer has a closed guard, so he can't escape. Washer looking for a triangle here. Silva is fighting it but it looks tight! Washer pulls the arm across and this one won't last much longer! Nope, Silva is tapping out - this one is all over!
