Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jarmo Puustinen (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lee Murray (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Murray comes into a darkened arena with his song building. KO muzik kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

8 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Jarmo Puustinen! And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
14 - 4 - 0, fighting out of London, Lee Murray! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Ivan Kurochkin and Dmitry Maklakov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Puustinen walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Murray is looking to chop away at Puustinen's legs. Murray lands the left hand. Puustinen has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Murray finds it's way round the side to connect with Puustinen's head. Murray throws a series of punches but Puustinen moves out of range. Lee Murray seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Puustinen takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.
Puustinen takes one on the button. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Puustinen drops his hands momentarily and Murray takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Puustinen takes a body punch but keeps moving. Murray throws a right hand that Puustinen ducks under and follows up with a left that Puustinen also avoids with ease. Murray moves into range and clinches up with Puustinen. Puustinen is trying to force a seperation but Murray has the dominant position. Murray lands with a short head shot on the inside. A short uppercut from Murray. Puustinen has hold of a leg and is looking for a trip takedown. Murray avoids it nicely though and we remain in the clinch.

The crowd are going absolutely nuts as the round comes to an end - what a fantastic round of action! Murray lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Murray scores with the left hand. Puustinen knows he should have avoided that one. Puustinen takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt. Murray takes a shot right to the bread basket. Murray lands with a straight right. Puustinen didn't see that one coming. Murray scores with a jab to the head.

Murray looks to score with a jab to the body but Puustinen is just out of range. Murray shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Puustinen as he jumps to the side. A decent looking cross lands there for Murray. Murray lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
A big left from Murray misses. Murray might want to mix his strikes up a bit more. He's just going for head shots at the moment and that can become a bit predictable.
That's one minute gone in the round. Murray swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Murray fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. A jab from Murray finds it's way through Puustinen's defenses. Murray uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Puustinen. Puustinen is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Puustinen is rocked! Murray lands a glancing blow to the side of Puustinen's head. Murray thuds a left hand into Puustinen's body. We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Murray getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Murray has been the more effective fighter overall so far. Murray shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Murray showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. The referee calls for the fighters to work.

Murray is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Puustinen is just riding it out for now. Murray eventually gives up the hold. Murray is working for a kimura but Puustinen is defending it quite comfortably.

Murray slips effortlessly into side control - very nice. Murray lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Puustinen down.

Murray stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush. Murray works Puustinen's body with a nice hook. Murray scores with a crisp jab that stopped Puustinen in his tracks.

Puustinen shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it. Oh Puustinen is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!! Murray connects with a lovely right hand, straight down the pipe. Puustinen lands a nice looking body shot.

Puustinen controls Murray momentarily but Murray frees himself. Murray with a flurry of punches that miss. Puustinen seems to have got his legs back now.

Murray throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Puustinen works some decent striking defense from the bottom. It's got to the stage where if one of these guys blows hard enough, the other might fall over. Murray throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Murray sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Puustinen's guard. Murray keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Puustinen is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Murray's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Murray's back! I really don't envy Murray right now.
Puustinen is not going to allow Murray to sit and survive in this position. Puustinen is hanging on to Murray's back as he tries to escape.
