The judges for this bout are Paul Tew, Andrew Berry and Steven Brown.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Price throws a body kick that sends a sickening thudding noise reverberating around the arena.
Smirnov throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Price was covering up waiting for the punch and Smirnov finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Price is striking from the bottom but Smirnov uses the opportunity to pass into half guard.
Smirnov is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Price is just riding it out for now. Smirnov eventually gives up the hold.

Price really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Smirnov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Price pushes Smirnov off and gets back to his feet.
Smirnov throws a loose over hand right and dives in with a double leg takedown. Price tries to sprawl but it's too late and the fighters hit the mat. Smirnov is in Price's guard.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

Smirnov postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Price looks a forlorn figure.
The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Smirnov cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

It really doesn't seem like the step up in weight is hurting Smirnov here at all. He's more than holding his own against the bigger man.
Smirnov stands and steps away. Price gets to his feet too and we're back to the striking game.

Price is looking for a takedown here. He's shot in and has managed to get it, finishing up in Smirnov's half guard.

Price is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Smirnov defends it well.

Price might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Smirnov haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

Price drops back for a leg but he's not going to get it - he lets go and Smirnov dives on top into guard.

Price keeping moving, preventing Smirnov from controlling successfully.

Price wants to stand up but Smirnov is controlling him.
Smirnov slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.

We're going to have a standup here because Busta Smirnov wasn't active enough for the referee's liking.
Smirnov changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Price looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Smirnov works to advance to full mount. Price defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Price shoots in and drives through. Smirnov sprawls well.

Busta Smirnov overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
